AKP-MHP tabanı da fakirliğe sığınmış.
AKP-MHP tabanında ekonomik isyan
tüi̇k'in verilerine rağmen halkın büyük çoğunluğu temel ihtiyaçlarını karşılamakta zorlanıyor. akp seçmeninin %60'ı, mhp seçmeninin ise %56'sı geçim sıkıntısı çekiyor.
despite the rosy pictures painted by tüi̇k (turkish statistical institute) with doctored data, the profound poverty that cannot be concealed has also been reflected in research. the proportion of akp voters saying they are "partly struggling" or "struggling" to meet their basic needs has reached 60%, while this figure stands at 56% for mhp voters.
The profound economic crisis in Türkiye has left millions of citizens unable to access even their most basic needs. According to data from the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the number of people receiving social assistance in Türkiye has neared 15 million. Following the price hikes on everything from needle to thread, citizens have become virtually afraid to go out.
The "poverty alleviation" budget utilised by the political administration against the deepening economic crisis has also proven insufficient to mask poverty. Expenditure from the poverty alleviation budget, for which hundreds of billions of lira are allocated almost every year, amounted to 190.5 billion TL during the January-May 2026 period.
Poverty, which cannot be hidden despite hundreds of billions of lira in spending, the rosy picture painted by politicians, and the doctored data from TÜİK, has also been reflected in field research. A report submitted to CHP leader Özgür Özel included research on the "Level of Meeting Basic Needs with Current Income." The research, obtained by BirGün, revealed the reaction of AKP and MHP voters to the economic crisis.
POVERTY THAT CANNOT BE CONCEALED
In the research conducted across Türkiye with a sample size of 2,094, 59% of participants stated that they were struggling to meet their basic needs. The proportion of those stating they were "partly struggling" to meet their needs was recorded at 21%.
AKP AND MHP VOTERS
The data regarding the ability of participants to meet their needs were also classified according to their political party preferences. It has been revealed that the economic crisis is also overwhelming the voters who support the ruling party and its partner. In the field research, 59.5% of AKP voters asked the question, "Are you struggling to meet your basic needs?" replied that they were "partly struggling" or "struggling."
A similar picture was observed among MHP voters. The proportion of MHP supporters who noted that they were partly or entirely struggling to meet their basic needs was 55.7%.
